Major Crimes

A spin-off from The Closer, the action here picks up immediately after Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) departs. Captain Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) is now in charge, and unlike their previous chief, Raydor is determined to lead the department with a more team-oriented approach, sharing the credit with the people with whom she works.

The series premiered in August 2012 following the series conclusion of The Closer.
