The Mentalist

Simon Baker starred as Patrick Jane in The Mentalist, a crime drama series that aired on CBS.

Jane, an astute observer of human behavior (think modern day Sherlock Holmes), was an independent consultant with the (fictional) California Bureau of Investigation. At one time he used his skills as a psychic medium, but after a serial killer murdered his family, he turned to law enforcement.
