NCIS
NCIS, premiered on CBS in September 2003 as a spin-off of a similar series, JAG (Judge Advocate General). The series stars Mark Harmon as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
During the first season the series was initially called, somewhat redundantly, Navy NCIS.
A spin-off of the series, NCIS: Los Angeles premiered in September 2009.
