Philip Marlowe, Private Eye aired on HBO in the spring of 1983 and in the spring of 1986 and included 11 episodes over 2 seasons. The series starred Powers Booth as the title character, with each episode adapted from a Raymond Chandler short story.
In 1998, HBO produced a movie based on Raymond Chandler's Poodle Springs starring James Caan as Philip Marlowe.
