Prime Suspect (1991)

Prime Suspect is a UK crime drama that spans seven seasons (series), some of which consist of a single, multi-part episode, others of multiple episodes.

The series stars Helen Mirren as Detective Inspector, later Detective Superintendent, Jane Tennison and is based on stories by crime novelist Lynda La Plante.

The original DVDs of the first six seasons (series) were released by HBO Home Video and subsequently discontinued; Acorn Media, which released the seventh and final season (series), re-issued the individual season (series) DVDs.
