Van der Valk Mysteries
Van der Valk was an ITV series that starred Barry Foster as Dutch detective Simon van der Valk and based on the character created by crime novelist Nicolas Freeling. The series was set in, and filmed on location in, Amsterdam.
The first two series aired in 1972 and 1973 with the third four years later as individual episodes. It was revived in 1991 and aired two more series, each consisting of multi-part episodes.
