Vera

Based on a character created by crime novelist Ann Cleeves, Vera stars Brenda Blethyn as Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope, who solves baffling homicides in England's scenic Northumberland County. Her trusted and long-suffering colleague is Detective Sergeant Joe Ashworth (David Leon), her right-hand man and surrogate son.
